How MagicShot handles your money, data, and content

What we commit to, with the policy behind each point.

Clear pricing, clear refunds

Every model on MagicShot is available on every paid plan, including the cheapest, and no upgrade or add-on is needed to unlock one. Each model has its own credit cost, prices are listed openly on the pricing page, and you can cancel any time and keep your plan until the end of the period you already paid for.

If a generation fails for a technical reason, its credits come back to your balance automatically. If moderation blocks it for an NSFW prompt or input image, half the credits come back, and the other half is restored if an appeal shows the block was a mistake. New web subscribers who haven't used a meaningful share of their credits can ask for a full refund within 7 days of the first charge (App Store and Google Play purchases are refunded by Apple or Google under their rules). Duplicate charges and charges made after a confirmed cancellation are refunded in full. The details are in our refund policy.

Using what you make

Results you generate on any paid plan come with commercial-use rights for your own content, campaigns, and client work, with no per-image license and no attribution to MagicShot required. The content policy still applies, and commercial rights don't give you rights over a real person's likeness that you didn't already have. You keep ownership of the photos and other content you upload. Section 5.1 of our terms of service sets this out.

Private by default

You decide what stays

We never sell your personal information or share it for cross-context advertising, and analytics cookies stay off until you accept them. The privacy policy explains what we collect, why, who receives it, including the AI model providers that make your results, and how transfers to the US are protected.

Safe and secure

Payments locked down, people protected

Card payments run through PCI DSS compliant providers, and full card numbers are never stored on MagicShot servers. The site runs only over HTTPS, browsers are told to stay on HTTPS for two years, and our security contact is published in security.txt. Every prompt and upload is checked before generation under our likeness and consent rules. You can appeal a decision within 14 days, and report content to support@magicshot.ai.

Trust and safety questions

Yes. MagicShot payments are handled by PCI DSS compliant payment providers on the web, or by Apple and Google in their app stores, and full card numbers are never stored on MagicShot servers.

Yes. Cancel a MagicShot web subscription from your billing settings any time before your renewal date, and you keep your plan and credits until the end of the period you already paid for. App Store and Google Play subscriptions are canceled through Apple or Google.

No. MagicShot doesn't use your uploads, prompts, or results to train AI models, as section 3.2 of the privacy policy states. To make your results, your prompts and uploads go to the AI model providers that run the models, only so they can produce your results, and each provider's own terms also govern how it handles them.

Yes, on a paid plan. Results you generate on any paid plan come with commercial-use rights for your own content, campaigns, and client work, under section 5.1 of the terms of service. The content policy still applies, and you need your own rights to any real person's likeness. You keep ownership of the photos and other content you upload.

If a MagicShot generation fails for a technical reason, its credits return to your balance automatically. Generations blocked for an NSFW prompt or input image get 50% back, and the rest is restored if an appeal succeeds. Delivered results are not refunded on taste. The refund policy has the details.

Only within the rules. You can't create content of public figures, such as celebrities and politicians, or NSFW content of any real person. If you upload a photo of someone else, you need their agreement. If someone used your face on MagicShot, email support@magicshot.ai and our team will review it.

Email support@magicshot.ai within 14 days of the decision to appeal it. A person reviews the appeal, and each decision gets one appeal. If the review finds an NSFW block was a mistake, the 50% of credits MagicShot withheld is restored in full.

Email support@magicshot.ai or use the MagicShot contact form. Our team reviews reports, and content that breaks our policies may be removed within 24 hours of detection.

Not for analytics unless you agree. Essential cookies keep the site working, analytics cookies from Google and Microsoft stay off until you accept them, and no advertising cookies are set. Change your choice any time with Your Privacy Choices in the footer.

Delete any result or your whole MagicShot account from your account settings, and it is removed from active storage. Content flagged under our content policy may be kept for moderation and legal reasons, as the privacy policy explains. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription, so cancel that first.

Depending on where you live, you can ask MagicShot to show, correct, export, or erase your personal information, restrict it, or object to some uses of it. Email support@magicshot.ai with the subject "Privacy request" and we reply within one month (up to two more months for complex requests, and we'll tell you if so). If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
