This Refund Policy explains when and how MagicShot ("MagicShot", "we", "us") issues refunds for credits and payments on magicshot.ai and app.magicshot.ai (the "Service"). It should be read together with our Terms of Service. By using the Service, you agree to this policy.
How MagicShot billing works
MagicShot is a credit-based AI service. Paid plans grant a monthly or yearly allowance of credits, and each generation — an image, video, voiceover or edit — spends a set number of credits. Credits are only consumed when a generation is successfully produced.
Credits for failed generations
We do not charge you for results we fail to deliver. If a generation fails because of a technical problem on our side — a system error, an interrupted job, or an output that was never produced — the credits for that generation are automatically returned to your balance, usually within a few minutes.
If credits for a clearly failed attempt are not returned automatically, contact us within 7 days and we will investigate and re-credit any credits lost to a verified failure.
Please note: a generation is considered successfully delivered, and its credits are not refundable, once the Service returns a usable result — even if the creative outcome is not what you hoped for. AI output is inherently variable, and dissatisfaction with the style, likeness or quality of a delivered result is not by itself a technical failure. We encourage you to adjust your prompt or inputs and try again.
Subscription and payment refunds
Because the Service delivers digital goods immediately, subscription fees are generally non-refundable once the billing period has begun and credits have been made available. The following exceptions apply:
- New subscriptions: if you purchased a plan and have not used a meaningful portion of your credits, you may request a full refund within 7 days of the initial charge.
- Duplicate or accidental charges: billing errors, duplicate charges, and charges made after a confirmed cancellation are refunded in full.
- Unauthorised charges: if you believe your payment method was used without your authorisation, contact us immediately so we can investigate.
Renewal charges are not automatically refundable. You can cancel at any time before your renewal date to avoid the next charge — cancellation stops future billing, and you keep access until the end of the current period.
Credit expiry
Unused credits have no cash value and are not redeemable for money. When a subscription is cancelled or lapses, unused credits from that period expire at the end of the billing cycle unless your plan states otherwise.
How to request a refund
Email support@magicshot.ai from the address on your account and include your account email, the approximate date of the charge or failed generation, and a short description of the issue. We aim to respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method; how long the funds take to appear depends on your payment provider, typically 5–10 business days.
Chargebacks
If you have a billing concern, please contact us first — we can almost always resolve it faster than a bank dispute. Filing a chargeback without contacting us may lead to suspension of your account while the dispute is reviewed.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated through the Service.
